Do I need an account or an API key?
No. The API is free and open for production until Dec 1, 2026 — call it directly with no account, no key, and no credit card.
What happens after Dec 1, 2026?
Accounts return. The first month after includes 1M free tokens, then 10K free tokens every month for text and vision. Images and audio bill per unit, and usage beyond the allowance follows the published pay-as-you-go rates. No monthly plan, no platform fee, no minimum spend.
Is the API OpenAI-compatible?
No. UnBoringSpot exposes a plain HTTP JSON API. You call it directly with any HTTP client. OpenAI SDKs and base-URL swaps are not supported.
Which models can I use?
There are four: Qwen 8B for text, Qwen-VLM for images and documents, Flux Schnell for image generation, and Whisper for audio transcription.
How is usage billed right now?
It isn't. All models are free to use while the API is open, until Dec 1, 2026.
Do you train on my API content?
We do not use API content for advertising, and we do not train models on it by default. The Privacy Policy explains what we process and why.
